Puzzle Time: Crossclue

Welcome to the first installment of Puzzle Time, where I share some puzzle games I have made. Crossclue is like a wordsearch mixed with a cryptic crossword.

If you like cryptic crosswords, you can try solving using the clues and use the grid for hints. If you like wordsearches, try the other way around!

  1. Every letter is used once
  2. Words in the grid can go in any direction and can change direction mid-word
  3. Every word also has a clue
  4. There is a hidden theme grouping all the answers together

Click and drag on the grid to try and make words.

The clues are similar to cryptic clues, but a little more flexible. They may use anagrams, homophones, definitions or jokes.

If you manage to complete the grid, and are able to deduce the theme, do leave a comment letting me know what you think it is.

Thanks : ) That’s a lot cooler than the theme I had in mind - the clue along the bottom edge certainly made me think of Pandemic too.
